Leeds Trolleybuses

West Yorkshire Metro has had approval to bring Trolleybuses back to Leeds, 37 years since they last ran in Britain. The £300million proposal to bring the transport system through out the city, giving £150million for phase 1.

The proposed routes are:-
Stourton to Leeds Centre then onto Headingley and up to Bodington
Seacroft Centre and St James's into Leeds Centre

Park and ride would be situated in Stourton and Bodington. If aproved by the Department for Transport, work could commence from 2011/2012. The routes are based similarly to the failed Leeds Supertram.
