Metro has recently launched the Bradford FreeCityBus trial, in partnership with Bradford Council, which connects parts of the city centre. The trial which lasts 6 month hopes to attract at least 10 passengers per trip. The service is operated by three 29 seat buses with buggy and wheelchair access.
Bradford FreeCityBus starts at Bradford Interchange and runs to Market Street, Cathedral, Forster Square Rail Station, Forster Square Retail Park, Manor Row, Oastler Centre, Kirkgate Centre, City Hall, National Media Museum, Bradford College, University of Bradford, Morley Street, Alhambra and The Leisure Exchange. The service operates every 10 Minutes from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5:30pm on Saturdays.
It was launched following its success in Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield. Overall the FreeCityBus and FreeTownBus service has been used by over 3.5 million people.
