it was a night of nostalgia when Bob Anderson gave a slide show on the Bradford trolleybus system in the final one and a half year’s existence.

There wore slides covering all the routes still running during that period and there were fascinating photographs from the last weekend, plus photos of the BBC film crew filming on the Thornton and Allerton routes — including a trolleybus doing a right-hand from Allerton Road into West Park Road which, we were told, was a very rare manoeuvre.

After the closure was also highlighted with views of the dismantling of the overhead at Thornton and the changing of Trolleybus Stop signs to Motorbus Stops — something I don’t think has been photographed too often, it was a very interesting and enjoyable night.
