Report - Gary Wilkinson
The evening’s entertainment was presented by Tony Wilson and Paul Wooding. First on the screen, a film which Tony had taken this year in Brussels showing the tram system, he showed us the vast street running and how everything runs so well. There were shots of the underground stations, reserved track running and depot shots, and a working grand union which was fascinating to see the trams branching off in all directions.
The second film was one he had shown before but is a favourite with the BTA, a colour film showing Bradford trolleybuses in Crossflatts and Undercliffe and also tram 104 doing runs up the depot yard at Thornbury on an enthusiasts open day. The third film was one of Steam Trains in the 1960's covering many closed lines. And the fourth was a Bus film with many great views of Britain in the 1960's. A great night was had by all especially mince pies and tea in the interval. Many thanks are due to Tony and Paul for a great night’s entertainment.
